Good Deeds Day
Good Deeds Day
Good Deeds Day
is this Sunday, April 10!
Please bring your children and join us at noon at TT on Sunday, April 10 and help make a difference in our neighbourhood and our city, by cleaning up our playground!!!
We will join with volunteers around the world in this annual celebration that unites over 70 countries around the world in doing good deeds.
Talmud Torah School invites families to join us and the families and staff of our neighbour, Our Lady of the Prairies, in a neighbourhood clean-up.
Many other organizations in the Jewish community are also doing good deeds that day and we all will be gathering at the Talmud Torah outdoor basketball courts at noon for some noshing and fellowship before we all head out to do our good deeds.
We will have bins for the various groups who are collecting items to help our fellow Edmontonians in need and you are welcome to contribute to any or all of them:
- TT Grade 4 is collecting gently worn shoes, boots and new socks to give to homeless shelters and shelters for families fleeing violence.
- TT Grade 6 is collecting children's books in good condition and appropriate for K-6 to give to the students at Belmead School.
- JCORE is collecting toothbrushes and toothpaste they will bring with them when they volunteer at Kids Kottage.
- BBYO is collecting items to take with them when they go to volunteer at the Food Bank.
Bring your family and friends, your children's friends, your neighbours and have some fun as we celebrate giving back with other groups and then clean-up our neighbourhood.
